Sight & Sound Software Named One of Oregon's Fastest Growing Technology Companies
Sight & Sound Software, Inc. has been named to Deloitte & Touches prestigious "Fast 50" Program for the Oregon region, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area.
Portland, OR, May 14, 1999 - Sight & Sound Software, Inc., a pioneer in online travel and multimedia software markets, has been named to Deloitte & Touche's prestigious "Fast 50" Program for the Oregon region, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area. Rankings are based on a percentage of growth in revenues from 1994-1998.
Sight & Sound's increase in revenues of 865 percent over the five-year period from 1993 to 1997 resulted in a number eight ranking overall in the Oregon Fast 50. The Oregon Technology Fast 50 winners represent approximately $2.09 billion in revenues for 1998.
Sight & Sound's President, Jeff Kennedy, credits a hot ecommerce market segment, a collective vision and a talented group as the critical components that drove the company's percentage revenue growth over the past five years. To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had revenues of at least $50,000 in 1994 and at least $1,000,000 in 1998. They must be publicly or privately held companies, headquartered in the Oregon region and they must be true technology companies, defined as a company that produces technology, manufactures a technology product or is technologically intensive, uses technology in problem-solving, or devotes a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology.
Winners of the 20 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks the nations' top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
