Sight & Sound's BookSmart Selected to Power Wal-Mart's Online Travel Site
Sight & Sound Software today announced that Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) has selected BookSmart to power its new online travel agency.
October 11, 1999, Portland, Ore - Sight & Sound Software, the developers of BookSmart, the industry's premier online travel booking engine, today announced that Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) has selected BookSmart to power its new online travel agency. BookSmart's functionality will reduce the need for customized software, allow for a unique user interface and leverage an open architecture that easily integrates with other legacy systems and applications. Incorporating BookSmart into the Wal-Mart travel site ensures customers a fast, reliable and enjoyable consumer experience.
Other companies contributing to Wal-Mart.com's e-commerce travel site include BroadVision, Cambridge Technology Partners, eCS4, Quantum Leap and Hewlett-Packard.

BookSmart
BookSmart is a travel booking engine that interfaces mainframe computer reservation systems to a variety of client programs, including web servers and wireless devices.
