Flight Schedules
Pathfinder delivers a comprehensive, up-to-date source of worldwide flight schedules. We have selected Innovata as our source for flight schedule information due to their unparalleled quality and extensive airline industry participation and selection by IATA, the International Air Transport Association, as the official provider for the SRS initiative.
The Pathfinder Flight Schedules feature:
- Passenger and cargo flight schedule information for over 850 airlines, worldwide
- Available through simple schedule lookups or complex routing requests
- Accurate and up-to-date airline, airport, equipment, codeshare, MCT and other data
Flight Status
Getting accurate flight status information and setting up automatic event notification can greatly improve your ability to fix problems before they become a customer service issue. For this reason, we have chosen to support both FAA and GDS flight status, giving you more reliable flight information in real-time.
Pathfinder’s Flight Status provides:
- Multiple data sources that enhance information relevance
- Proactive shipment monitoring and problem resolution
- Notifications sent via email or Web Services messaging based on custom trigger conditions
- Accessible through individual or aggregated API Calls
Real-time flight status is available from two sources, the FAA and from Sabre, a Global Distribution System for flight and travel information, worldwide. These two sources of flight status offer different and complementary information regarding the status of a flight.
Characteristics of the GDS (Sabre) flight status include:
- Information is provided by the airline and available worldwide through the major GDSs
- Can provide advanced notice of canceled flights
- Includes gate and terminal information
Characteristics of the FAA flight status include:
- Source is the flight plan filed by the aircraft pilot
- The information is updated continuously and provides positional data of the aircraft
- Provides flight status for every commercial aircraft under the control of the FAA
- Provides “wheels-up” and “wheels-down” information as well as cancellations, diversions, estimated, planned and actual times
- Data is only available once the flight plan is filed with the FAA
- Information tends to be very accurate in terms of estimating arrival times

Airport Information
Pathfinder's real-time FAA Airport Information:
- Provides up-to-the-minute airport information and delay status
- Allows for direct integration of airport delay information with flight schedule information
- Enables you to identify risks BEFORE making a routing decision
- Is accessible through individual or aggregated API Calls
- Enables you to request delay status via an API call, or use Pathfinder Notification Services to receive messages via email, pager or Web Services message.
Weather & Current Conditions
Real-time weather and current conditions information is available through four Pathfinder-XML Web Services, plus several aggregated services that combine flight, airport, delay and weather information:
- Includes current worldwide airport weather conditions
- Extended weather forecasts available for the U.S. through the National Weather Service
- Accessible through individual or aggregated API Calls
- Allows for direct integration of weather information with flight schedule information
